I'm a full stack marketer with an emphasis on social media — strategy, photography, video, design, and the production muscle to ship all of it myself. Over the last few years I've built content for cannabis, apparel, retail, fitness, and athlete brands, each with a completely different look and audience. Scroll: the site changes color with each client, because that's the job.
Channel planning, campaign concepts, and content calendars built around what a brand's audience actually watches.
Product, lifestyle, and event photography — studio strobe work through golden-hour naturalism. Fujifilm X-H2s.
Shooting and editing short-form social, brand films, BTS, and vertical ad spots end to end.
Logos, brand systems, campaign graphics, and social templates teams can run without me — from a SETS ground-up identity to the Raw Garden rebrand.
Premieres, pop-ups, and activations — shot, edited, and delivered while the moment is still warm.
Creative and social lead for one of California's largest cannabis brands — owning strategy and content production for all social channels, four major product launches (including the Sprout), and a full company rebrand. I also designed the retail packaging for the "Sauce" cartridge line — physical product sold at dispensaries across California, not just a social asset. All in a heavily regulated industry with no paid ads to lean on: the strategy turned the account's multi-year follower decline into growth and produced the highest-performing posts in brand history.
Beyond the camera: a seven-pillar content system across a three-account ecosystem, the Wildlife Experts creator-ambassador program built to route around cannabis algorithm restrictions (top ambassador reel: 3.3M views), and quarterly analytics reporting with competitive benchmarking against industry engagement standards.
Everything below — product, lifestyle, farm documentation, and campaign design — was shot, edited, and designed by me. Raw Garden remains a creative services client today.
Studio product photography used across Raw Garden's website and dispensary menus.
Retail packaging design. The Sauce ceramic cartridge box — art direction and design for a product sold on dispensary shelves across California. Physical product design, not a social graphic.
Full case study: hero drip → concentrate macro → lifestyle → catalog + merch → farm + process → culture + campaign design

Two drops, two opposite moods, one brand. "After Hours" — a moody blue-hour hedge-maze set built around a lavender hoodie — against "Coastal Camo", warm sunlit lifestyle work for embroidered trucker caps. The contrast is the point: same lens, two completely different worlds.
Beyond campaigns, I shoot the brand's entire e-commerce catalog — studio product photography, cutouts, and retouching for every item on the store. And the content pulls beyond its weight class: the Purple Trip Hoodie launch post drew 326 likes and 60 shares on a 340-follower account — engagement rivaling the brand's entire audience, reached almost entirely through shares and discovery.
Studio product photography for every item sold on lovebugca.com.
Ongoing content for a Santa Barbara skate brand across two fronts. Product: campaign and lifestyle photography for tee drops like the Actycopter release, shot live on site. Events: full coverage of the "Ghosted" video premiere — a Cold Call × Lighthouse Skateshop party — including a custom xerox-textured event poster and the skate edit that pulled 15K views and 671 likes on the brand's 3.3K-follower account.
Launch content for an art-and-clothing retail concept through Mind Garden, my creative branding studio — gallery and space photography, merch BTS, and a soft-open recap film built for social.
The one where I built the brand from scratch. Logo, brand colors, and the full visual identity for a Victorville training studio — then the photography, the monthly "Fresh Programming" campaign graphics, and a social template system the studio's own team runs long after each shoot. Ground-up brand design through day-to-day content, all in one house style.
The content carries the small account well past its size: the competition-stage post pulled 268 likes and the studio welcome film 205, on an account of ~1,340 followers.
Ad production for golf personality Chaz Bowker — concepting, shooting, and editing vertical spots for national brands including DraftKings (story ads + a World Cup reel), Dove, and On nicotine pouches. Every spot delivered as an FTC-compliant paid partnership — disclosure tags, mandated warning cards, the works — running live on his verified 175K-follower account and the Chazzy Golf YouTube series. Personality-first creative built to perform in-feed.

Restaurant and event photography for a food-and-wine pop-up — plates, pours, and the people in between. Fast-turn coverage built for next-morning social.
I'm Gavin — 27, based in Santa Barbara, and I've spent the last seven years in creative marketing on both sides of the table: in-house as Creative Marketing Lead at Raw Garden, and independently through Mind Garden, my branding studio, and Savor, a retail delivery brand I co-founded and grew from zero through social alone. Building brands in the cannabis space taught me to grow audiences the hard way — strict ad restrictions mean organic content, community, and creative that earns attention on its own.
Off the clock I digitize Hi8 and MiniDV tape on vintage camcorders and FireWire-era Macs — an analog habit that keeps my eye honest — and chase snow whenever the season allows.
Now: looking to bring that full-stack range in-house to a marketing, social media, or content production team in the Santa Barbara area.
Retained by Raw Garden for creative services; content and campaigns for Lovebug, Cold Call, Cortex, and Chaz Bowker; full brand identity (logo through system) for SETS Training Studio.
Social strategy, all content production, and analytics. Doubled IG engagement (4.5%→8%+) and held it at 2.4× the industry benchmark, reversed a multi-year follower decline, led four launches, oversaw full rebrand.
Brand development, social strategy, and print/design for startups and small brands.
Short-form video and growth strategy for a cannabis software/hardware startup.
Built a premium retail delivery brand from scratch through social, community, and influencer work.
